When I was invited by the V&A to speak at their Style Cities conference nearly two years ago, I was really excited to share my passion for Art Deco and the city of Casablanca where I was born. Little did I know that more fun was to come with their Moroccan fashion project. The Victoria & Albert museum had acquired a series of Moroccan contemporary outfits with the aim to establish the first collection of a fashion that inspired many designers and fashion icons around the world -one thinks of Yves Saint Laurent, Catherine Deneuve, Talitha Getty… So when Mariam and Behnaz,  the curators of the Middle East department of the museum asked for help, I was quite please to contribute to the project. Learn more about the collection here. And get behind the scenes of the acquisition process here.
